Cath Morton

Cath’s barbershop career started in 1978 when she joined The White Rosettes, with whom she won 3 gold medals. She quickly became part of Conchords quartet who won gold in 1981 and was instrumental in helping Holland Harmony and the Irish Association of Barbershop Singers ( IABS) to get off the ground. As a trained judge in the then ‘Sound’, now Singing category in LABBS, she judged and coached for all 3 associations.

She won a second quartet gold in 1987 with daughter Kim and Sally and Caroline McLean as 42nd Street. She has travelled all over the world with both quartets.

She directed Coast to Coast for 17 years, assisted for the last 10 years by Pauline Corrieri. She also sang with and directed Bradford Ladies (Pennine Chimes). She is an ex-chairman and honorary life member of LABBS.

Cath first came to Torrevieja at the invitation of Harry and Olive Hall, to help them with their mixed ladies and men’s chorus. She has now joined SABS as a frequent visitor to her Spanish home and is delighted to offer to help SABS to grow and improve their skills.
